We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team at The Dog & Duck. As a member of our bar staff, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our guests while ensuring the smooth operation of the bar.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers with precision and care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards using current checklists and having pride in your work.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations when needed on our digital order system.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till, demonstrating basic math skills for accurate billing.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain high levels of service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible serving practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, showcasing your familiarity with hospitality operations.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure the highest standards are met.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage positively with customers and team members alike.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling cash transactions efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
