Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bar Tender / Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong guest service skills and a passion for the culinary arts, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and satisfied. As a Bar Tender / Server, you will play a crucial role in upselling menu items, providing timely service, and maintaining a clean and organised dining environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed upon arrival.
- Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Upsell menu items effectively to maximise sales opportunities.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to balance multiple tables effectively during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for patrons.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who is willing to help colleagues in the kitchen or front of house as needed.
