Bank Support Worker- Waking Night
Priory Halifax Drive is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team to work waking nights. This is a full time/37.5-hour role.
Halifax Drive is located in Leicester. It offers residential support for 33 males and females who have a learning disability, who may also be autistic. We are located in a residential area off a main road.

What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
- Provide attentive, person-centered support to individuals throughout the night, ensuring their safety and wellbeing..
- Monitor and document individuals’ health, behaviours, and any incidents, maintaining accurate records.
- Promote a calm and supportive environment, encouraging independence and dignity during night hours.
- Work flexibly on a bank basis to cover night shifts as required, supporting the wider care team.

What you'll bring to the role

Candidates should have previous experience in a care role, ideally supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or complex care requirements during night shifts. They must be confident in delivering personal care, managing medication safely, and responding effectively to emergencies. Strong observational skills, good communication, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a supportive presence are essential. Flexibility to work night shifts on a bank basis is required. An enhanced DBS check will be necessary prior to starting the role.
