The Role
We are looking for two Waking Night Residential Support Workers to join a brand new therapeutic children’s home. This role is ideal for those who are resilient, dependable, and passionate about safeguarding and supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overnight supervision and emotional support for young people
- Ensure the safety and welfare of residents throughout the night
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with care plans and safeguarding protocols
- Follow behaviour management plans, safeguarding procedures, and therapeutic routines
- Support morning handovers to the day team
- Uphold the home's values of compassion, consistency, and respect
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a children’s residential care setting – Required
- Must be registered on the DBS Update Service
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Knowledge of basic residential childcare regulations
- Able to work waking night shifts on a fixed rota basis
- A calm, patient, and confident communicator
Interviews will be conducted by senior leadership, including the Responsible Individual and Director, both of whom have extensive experience in care and the wider community.
