Job Overview
The company considers it good practice to offer all patients a chaperone, regardless of the gender of the examiner or patient. The post-holder will work collaboratively with the company’s administration team and clinicians to meet the needs of patients, following relevant policy and procedures.
Responsibilities
· Ensure that the clinic area is suitable for the patients. Check the general environment including cleanliness and account for any special requirements identified for patients booked that day (including any Paediatric patients).
· Meet & greet patients on arrival to the clinic.
· Ensure patients are kept up to date with the clinic progress, informing them of any possible delays with their appointment.
· Provide support to the clinician during the clinic session.
· If necessary, to be present in the consulting room whilst the procedure is taking place.
· Ensure a Pre-Procedural Checklist is completed for each patient prior to their investigation and that this is finalised and signed by the clinician undertaking the investigation.
· Prepare the clinic room prior to commencing each appointment
·Communicate effectively with patients and carers, recognising their needs for alternative methods of communication.
· Ask patients to complete the company’s Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire.
· Perform clinical tasks relevant to their role (ECG’s, Bloods, Holter)
· Ensure patients are adequately dressed and ready for transport home.
Responsibilities
· To ensure patients receive the required standard of care and support at all times, to support their dignity and privacy; and to ensure that at all times the patient’s wishes are followed.
· Ensure the provision of a safe, welcoming, caring, and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors
·Ensure compliance with the Health and Social Care Act Regulations (2010) and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) by adhering to the Care Quality Commission and Home Office standards at all times.
· To contribute to the collection, recording and storage of information.

Pay: £12.71-£13.27 per hour
