Bank / Cover Female Support worker

JOB PURPOSE: I am 46 years old woman in Seisdon looking for someone with a fun sense of humour to support me when my current personal care assistant is on annual leave or sick. I need support with everyday living tasks which will allow me to live independently in my own home with my partner and cat. I need support with hobbies such as gardening and crafts and like to get out and about in the community. I have upper and lower limb disabilities and use an electric wheelchair.
HOURS: Holiday and Sickness Cover for the main PA - maximum 30 hours/ week
Hours will be worked over Monday – Friday with the occasional evening
and weekends.
Hours will be variable but ideally agreed at least one week in advance
As this post is also for sickness cover, the employee may be called upon at short notice to request cover.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Based at the employer’s home and out in the community. PA will be responsible for driving the employers automatic car.
RATE OF PAY: £12.21 per hour
RESPONSIBLE TO: Directly accountable to and taking direction from the employer
and employer’s representative.
MAIN TASKS:
Support with personal care,
Support to get up in the morning,
Support with personal care including bathing and dressing,
Domestic support ensuring a clean and pleasant environment,
Meal and drink preparation,
Assisting with medications as required,
Support employer whilst moving around the home and ensure their safety,
Support employer to use wheelchair when required both indoor and out in the
community,
Support to access the community and social activities and hobbies,
Support with shopping,
Support to hospital appointments,
To carry out other duties or activities connected with the role which the employer
may reasonably request.
The Successful Candidate will be:
Punctual, trustworthy and reliable,
Friendly, with a sense of humour,
Successful candidate must be able to swim as you will be supporting the
employer to go swimming,
Ideally like cats as employer has one!
Hold a full driving license and be able to provide employer with information
regarding any convictions or accidents occurring in the last 5 years.
Competent in driving employers automatic car.

Respectful of your Employer’s Dignity, at all times
A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.
