Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Bakers Assistant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a passion for cooking and baking. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced bakery setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of bre, pastries etc according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all food is produced efficiently and safely
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all food preparation processes.
- Participate in seasonal menu planning and recipe development as required
- Conduct regular checks on food storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Keep the kitchen area clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times
Requirements
- Strong cooking skills with experience in baking being highly advantageous
- Ability to work early shifts (2:30-3:00am starts) and weekends
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not mandatory
- A passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality results
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
