We are an independent friendly café/bistro serving breakfasts, bistro style lunches and afternoon teas. We’re looking for someone to join our small kitchen team who has a passion for creating tasty and good looking food plus the ability to use their initiative and work well under pressure. The role mainly involves food prep and food plating but you will have the opportunity to cook to order on the hot section plus bake scones and cakes.

Would suit a catering student or a chef looking to work part time hours with very little evening work.
Duties include:
Food prep and cooking
Baking
General kitchen/cleaning duties
Stock organisation and ordering

Being able to work in an organised and efficient manner
Cooking/baking skills with the ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure
Attention to detail
A flexible approach
Must have a polite and friendly manner
Good communications skills
Formal qualifications & experience
- At least Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
- Experience in a similar environment/kitchen able to deal with multiple orders
Shifts are daytime Fri-Sun every week. Plus Friday evenings throughout the summer
Approx 18-20 hours per week
