Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes and traybakes according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food production and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food output.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, preparation, or cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
- Culinary qualifications or relevant training is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in baking is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well within a team.
