Overview:
Browns have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic auctioneer & valuer to head up our stunning saleroom, based in the beautiful Scottish Borders
Responsibilities:
- Conduct auctions for various items such as antiques, art, jewellery, and collectibles
- Provide accurate valuations for clients seeking appraisal services
- Research and stay updated on market trends to ensure accurate valuations
- Develop strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service
- Manage auction logistics including cataloguing, marketing, and auction day coordination
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance auction performance and client satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Auctioneer & Valuer within the auction industry
- Sound knowledge of antiques, art, jewellery, and collectibles
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in conducting auctions and providing detailed valuations
- Relevant qualifications such as RICS or NAVA membership would be advantageous
This role has the potential to develop as the business expands and we envisage the successful applicant joining the board within 2 years.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
