Sadly, my Romanian au pair/housekeeper is leaving me after 13 years, and I am devastated to be losing him as he has been my life support for all of this time - he feels it is time to return to Romania to be with his family before his daughter finally leaves home and get back on the job market ...... he is a highly qualified economist!
This is a very unusual housekeeping job! It is a full-time live-in job, helping me run the house and, most importantly, look after my dogs ..... I currently have 4 and two of them are likely to have puppies in the next couple of years, so loving dogs is essential.
The job is a combination of daily tasks, bed making, house cleaning, some cooking, shopping, feeding dogs when I am working or out with clients, occasional dog walking, and some very varied days as well. For example, even though I am not young, I still work as I have my own business, can be away overnight, and occasionally have dinner parties for my clients at home. This requires help, both with the cooking and with helping serve and clear during the evening.
This position requires someone who is totally flexible and doesn't mind turning their hand to anything that needs doing, including occasionally driving me to appointment - a clock watcher would not suit.
A sense of humour is also critical and the right candidate would become part of the family, as much as an employee. I pay very well and you would have your own car - a driver with a clean full driving licence is essential for this position.
