Location: Goldstar Access Point - SL3 0NS
Class 1 Shifts:
4 on / 4off - 12 hr shifts, Weekends (days and nights available)
Van Shifts:
Tuesday to Saturday - 19h00 - 05h00
Salary: £19,194.24 - £33682.20
The primary objective of the role is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods from one
location to another. You will be required to plan efficient routes, load and unload goods, and maintain vehicle
safety. Your attention to detail, customer service skills, and adherence to regulations will be crucial in ensuring
successful operations
Main duties/ responsibilities
· Daily route will include delivering multiple exports and collecting multiple imports from various airline
sheds
· Count all freight upon loading and verify against documentation for accuracy
· Check freight for any damages and report
· Ensure vehicle is always sealed when carrying freight
· Ensure CAA security requirements are adhered to at all times
· Ensure PDA is used for all loads
· Transport and deliver products in a safe and timely manner
· Plan efficient routes to optimize a delivery schedule
· Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment
· Manual Work
· Making sure loads are safely secured
· Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary, carrying out basic routine maintenance, walk
around checks
· Completing delivery paperwork, PDA or any documentation
· Spending nights away from home during long haul deliveries if required
· Following the compliance, tacho master, and other regulations and laws that are applicable
· Maintain vehicle safety by conducting regular checks and reporting any issues promptly
· Adhere to all relevant regulations and driving laws
· Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional at all times
· Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations
· Any additional task designated by the management or other position outlined by the management
Technical Skills:
· A valid license
· Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
· Experience in operating commercial vehicles
· Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
· Familiarity with GPS systems and other tracking devices
