Overview
The Associate Vice President (AVP) Capacity will be responsible for assisting with relationships and agreements with insurance companies that provide underwriting capacity to our Managing General Agent (MGA). This role will assist with effective execution of agreements, foster strong communication channels, and manage relationship strategies with capacity providers.Position Functions

Assist SVP Capacity on the following items:
- Build, maintain, and enhance long-term strategic partnerships with insurers, ensuring alignment on goals, strategies, and execution.
- Relationship management strategy to support company growth objectives and ensure optimal capacity availability.
- Agreement execution and oversight for all MGAs and its capacity providers
- Strategic communication and coordination
- Performance monitoring and reporting on MGAs and capacity providers:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position requires leadership experience with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex business relationships. An understanding of insurance capacity, underwriting principles, and MGA operations is required. The candidate should be detail orientated while also being able to think “big picture.”The position will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting partnerships as well as being able to present in front of stakeholders; strategic thinking with a proven ability to execute on complex initiatives, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment in a professional manner with all level of company staff including management and other departments as well as outside vendors. The role will require review of many binding authorities so any technical experience is a plus.
Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, are a must. Any experience using Domo (an alternative to Power BI) or Jira could be helpful along with any background with XCS / the bureau and PPL.
Other Requirements
- 5 years of related insurance experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field is preferred. Insurance experience for this role as an underwriter or broker.
- An Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) certificate is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit and work quietly for extended periods of time, operate a computer,and answer and communicate on a telephone.
Working Conditions
Business-casual fast paced multi-tasking office environmentHours of Operation:
This position’s work hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm, in our London Office. We currently operate in a hybrid capacity with 3 days in the office, Wednesday and Thursday are required and 2 days at home.This position requires occasional flexibility for working additional hours to accomplish project objectives. Up to quarterly business travel will be required.
