JOB TITLE: Associate – Transaction Banking Solutions Sales, Infrastructure & Transport, Energy & Utilities
LOCATION: London
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of your time in the office.
About This Opportunity
Join our Transaction Banking Solutions team sales team as an Associate and be a part of our exciting growth. Our team is a cross-sector product team providing our CIB clients with solutions across the spectrum of liabilities, payments, TfX and working capital products including core trade, open account, structured trade, ECA and asset finance.
This role sits within the Transaction Banking Solutions team, which is cross-sector product team providing our Corporate Coverage clients with working capital solutions across traditional trade, open account (including receivables, payables, invoice finance and asset backed lending), structured trade and commodity finance, asset finance, as well as deposits, payments, new technologies such as APIs and transactional FX solutions.
You'll help to generate both growth within the portfolio alongside identifying new opportunities across all trade and cash products. Support a team of Directors and Associate Directors, assisting in meeting dedicated sales goals to achieve our ambition of significantly growing our business size. This role will form a key connectivity between Corporate Coverage, Trade & Cash Product, Trade Services and our Specialist Transaction Banking teams.
Your accountabilities will include:
- Sales Strategy Support: Assist Directors in shaping sales strategies and business plans for client portfolios
- Client Solutions: Help identify client needs and support the development of tailored transaction banking proposals
- Product Knowledge: Promote and support the full suite of Transaction Banking Solutions, with a primary focus on Trade and Working products, including; traditional trade, receivables, payables, and structured finance
- Deal Origination: Contribute to new client acquisition, RFP responses, pricing reviews, and implementation support
- Credit & Risk: Aid in preparing credit applications and liaise with internal teams (Product, Risk, Delivery)
- Innovation & Cross-Sell: Identify product gaps and cross-sell opportunities across the bank’s offerings (e.g., Cards, Data, Asset Finance)

What We Need From You?
- An understanding of market awareness (clients, industries, Transaction Banking products, innovation, technology, financial regulation)
- Basic knowledge around Transaction Banking products, including, tFX, LCs, Receivables, Supply Chain, liquidity management, virtual accounting
- Exposure in a professional, client centric role, driven by outcome and stakeholder satisfaction
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people (internally and externally) across a diverse spectrum and areas and backgrounds, with competent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-starter mentality with evidence of working independently and self-sufficiently towards common business goals
