We are a market leading British company originating from 1902 specialising in high performance wood finishes, with a significant European brand profile and reputation as part of RPM International Inc.
We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to join the business as an Assistant Branch Supervisor/Warehouse Operative on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- To receive and load orders correctly onto the Sales Order Processing System
- To serve customers at the Trade Counter, over the phone, via email and the Business Manager offering best advice on application and product usage
- To manufacture Fastmatch Colour accurately in branch for all customer requirements where possible
- To ensure the FM branch quality control system is followed and accurate records are retained
- To increase sales at every opportunity by selling additional allied products from the Morrells range
- To correctly process all paperwork and ensure cash receipts and petty cash are kept safe for banking etc.
- To ensure that the branch is correctly stocked to service customer demand without exceeding stock targets
- To ensure that the branch is clean, tidy, secure and safe for customers and employees alike
- To carry out a regular inspection of the site and report any faults or deficiencies to the National Branch Manager
- To maintain records of any failures in service and to compile management reports as requested by the National Branch Manager
- Use the appropriate PPE for the job at all times
- To ensure that all stock control functions comply with the relevant procedural requirements.
- To be flexible and be available for cover in other areas if required – including cover for full-time Supervisor at respective branch
- Stand in for Branch Supervisor as required
- Accurately pick orders from local Branch Stock
- Ensure that the warehouse is clean and tidy and remains a safe working environment at all times
Successful candidates will have the following:
- Experience with Microsoft D365 Desirable
- Competent and confident in using Fastmatch colour equipment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines in order to meet customer expectations.
- Committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of co-workers and the environment.
- A willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
- A positive attitude, even in difficult situations
- Strong team working skills
- Ability to work independently
