Assistant Director - Quality, Resources, Transformation and Integration

Job description
Reporting directly to our statutory Director of Adult Social Services (DASS), you will be part of an ambitious Senior Leadership Team committed to developing an innovative and inclusive new Council. In this role, you will lead the function of Adult Social Care Quality, Resources, Transformation and Integration, translating the Council’s strategy and corporate plan into a specific strategy for quality improvements across Adult Social Care Operations and Care Services enabling our residents and communities to thrive.

You will work with system transformation leaders, including the NHS, to identify shared priorities and develop strategic plans that will drive integration, reduce duplication and make best use of all available resources to address system pressures and improve outcomes for patients and residents. You will be a key member of the Adult Social Care (ASC) Directorate Management Team and will be the lead for major change programmes, quality improvement, transformation and integration across the ASC workforce.

As a highly credible and skilled professional, you will have proven ability to bring innovation and best practice, and the energy to motivate individuals and teams through the change process. Additionally, you will have a strong track record in delivering excellent services for adults that need additional support and supporting a flexible, agile, empowering, and successful directorate that is key to the Council’s overall success. You will have demonstrable continuing professional development and will bring a strong understanding of the national policy context for adult social care, health and care.

We have a unique opportunity to be bold, creative and do things differently, whilst building on our strong foundations. With support from Members, our senior leadership teams will transform our services and put residents right at the heart, helping our communities to thrive and flourish. This is a truly exceptional opportunity to shape our future and yours.

If you would like an informal conversation about this exciting role, please contact Cath Whalley ([email protected]).
