YouSeq is a biotechnology company that makes molecular testing kits that are used in hospitals and labs around the world to help fight cancer and other diseases.
We specialise in custom qPCR solutions, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, logic-minded life science graduate with excellent attention to detail to help us design and develop assays for our exciting product offering. The successful candidate will work with our team to deliver fantastic products for our qPCR customers.

The ideal candidate will have a life science degree and some relevant experience in comparative genomics or bioinformatics. They will be a high energy individual with a great attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Any additional training that is required will be offered in-house, with the opportunity to develop coding skills.
The role will be varied and dynamic but will include:
- In silico assay design and review
- Use and testing of in-house bioinformatics tools
- Quality system management and record keeping
- Progress reports for management
Essential qualifications/skills
- Life science degree
- Hands on experience with NCBI databases and tools such as BLAST
Desirable
- Familiarity with the command line and/or Python code
- Molecular biology wet-lab experience/knowledge
