Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role involves managing daily activities for children, ensuring their well-being, and fostering their development through play and structured learning.
Our childcare setting is rated as Outstanding by Ofsted. We have 3 other childcare businesses, ranging from caring for children from the age of 6 months to 11 years old. We are looking for a new staff member to join our team of 12 staff members.
All 4 settings are based in great Burstead, Billericay and you will be expected to work across all of them on a flexi Rota
You will be working towards a childcare qualification, working across all our settings.
Your assessor from Realise training will come and visit you once a month and support you while undertaking your level 2 or level 3

We do expect good time keeping, reliability, trustworthy, Mary Poppins personality, a good team player as well as common sense to be able to work alone. Confident to get down to the child's level and at times act like a child in play.
You will be expected to work Monday to Friday term time only . The hours will be from 7.30am - 6.15pm..
We will support you through your childcare qualification, you will receive training based at the setting and the assessor comes out to you.

You will be following our safer recruitment procedure;
You will have to apply for a DBS, complete a first aid course and a safeguarding course as well as other training within 3 months of employment.

Duties
- Manage the daily care of children, including feeding, changing, and supervising activities.
- Communicate effectively with children to promote understanding and engagement.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education principles.
- Provide a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean and safe nursery space, ensuring all equipment is in good condition.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Exhibit leadership qualities by guiding children in group settings and modelling positive behaviour.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare settings.
- A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.
