Hours: Monday to Friday, 1pm to 6:30pm, term time +1 week in the summer holiday
Salary: £13,632.47 (FTE £23,901.00)

We are currently seeking a warm, professional, and highly organised Afternoon Receptionist to be the friendly front of house face of our school during the second half of the day. The successful candidate will manage the front desk, greet visitors, support with administrative tasks, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations at the main entrance of our busy campus.

MAIN DUTIES
- Receive all visitors to the school, greeting and signing them in with the appropriate lanyard
- Receive goods in, check and sign for them
- Answer and process all telephone calls and emails into the school
- Deal with general day to day queries from pupils and parents
- Be responsible for the smart and tidy appearance of the School Reception area
- Be responsible for entrance to the school via the automated gates
- Distribute incoming post, frank and take outgoing post to post office
- Be responsible for taking the Fire Bag out during a fire drill/evacuation and keeping fire class lists updated
- Be responsible for named visitor parking signs
- Assist with the organisation of school events, such as Speech Day, concerts, printing order of service and programme
- Be responsible for making and distributing all parents/chorister parents and staff car permits
- Produce labels and peg labels as required
- Update all paper registers for morning, afternoon and choristers
- Support the Senior Leadership Team with administrative tasks and staff with general secretarial tasks
- Update SchoolBase parental data and school calendar
- Be the central contact for booking before and after school care and maintain records
- Provide finance department with dates/pupil names attending for charged school trips
- Provide finance department with reconciled school club’s bookings
- Be a point of contact for the Friends of Salisbury Cathedral School and Amici and help with their administration as necessary
- Maintain and update Sign-in ipad, and pupil and chorister sign in registers
- Complete afternoon regsitration
- Complete sign out at end of school day
- Purchase fresh flowers for reception desk
- Check office stationary levels and order paper
- Weekly music timetable to be added to Fire Bag
- Prepare charge sheets for Little Spires
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend training courses as directed
- Play an active part in the life of the school; attend compulsory events as directed by the Head, and liaise with the Parent and Friends committee members
- Share the aims and objectives of Salisbury Cathedral School and support the Head at all times
- Carry out other duties as are requested and as are commensurate with the grade of this post
