ACS International Schools are recruiting an Afternoon/Evening Cleaning Supervisor to join the team at ACS International School Hillingdon.
This is a hands-on role to ensure that the school buildings are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and that standards and services are to be delivered in line with the Job Specification and key performance indicators.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Advance preparation of daily/weekly work schedules for the team. The schedules will allocate work by area or on rotation, whichever is appropriate to ensure duties are shared equally and fairly at all times.
- Undertake the day-to-day supervision of cleaners. Monitor quality standards in line with service specification and KPI’s for cleaning services.
- Assist the cleaning teams with daily duties and lead by example to maintain high standards.
- To manage the day-to-day activities and exceptions presented by the site and seek advice from the Facilities Manager where appropriate.
- Review weekly and daily event planners to ensure service delivery can be met. If necessary, consult with event organiser to ensure details are clear and there are no clashes within the planners.
- Ensure monthly 1-1 meetings are held with each team member. Complete annual appraisals and manage performance.
- Manage team absences, holidays and return to works interviews, post sickness. Ensure all events are recorded in iTrent.
- Monitor and control stock levels ensuring security of any hazardous materials.
- Compile and routinely update COSHH log.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to safe standards and remain fit for purpose and report any faults by email/Shire to the Facilities Manager as appropriate.
- Staff and contractor inductions and job specific training including safeguarding aspects of the roles.
- Uphold and adhere to the ACS Values and Code of Conduct.
- Any other duties requested by the Cleaning Manager
The post holder will be expected to assist in other duties within the department as necessary, in particular at times of heavy workload, sickness and staff absences, commensurate with the post holders’ level of responsibility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience of Supervising of a cleaning team
- Experience of cleaning within a school environment or similar.
- Knowledge of COSHH, Manual Handling and general Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience of cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning equipment.
Start date: ASAP
Duration: This is a permanent position
Working hours: Monday- Friday either 10:00- 18:30 or 11:30- 20:00 (37.5 hours per week). This is an all year round position.
