Support Worker Recruitment Lead is the supportive driving force behind each of these areas, and we're currently seeking an
administrator Support Worker Recruitment Lead to join our team.
What you'll be working:
Location: Corbridge Northumberland
Position: Part-time, 29.6 hours per week (working pattern to be discussed at interview)
Salary: PTE £21,600 FTE £27,000
The operations team across JSP provides a central point of contact for our clients, their legal representatives, our support workers, as well as for our staff working across the company.
This position is based in our Corbridge office, but the JSP operations team is comprised of staff from each of our other offices in Sheffield, Edinburgh and Manchester.
What you'll be doing:
Main responsibilities and duties
Support Worker administration, including:
- Advertising new support worker positions
- Monitoring applications
- Arranging interviews at Case Managers request
- Assisting Case Managers with offer letters and contracts where necessary
- Check Right to Work in the UK for both UK and foreign nationals
- Sending pre-employment forms to successful candidates
- DBS management: verifying ID for DBS applications and checking of DBS for current staff on update service
- Creating personnel files for new staff
- Creating ID badges for support workers
- Maintaining Support Worker HR records Production of monthly compliance audit reports for support worker compliance
Additional responsibilities and duties
- General administration duties: such as typing letters, formatting reports, scheduling meetings, ordering stationery and office supplies and general upkeep of the office and reception areas
- Administrative support to the Case Managers, Occupational Therapists and other JSP staff
- Assisting with non-fee-earning and fee-earning tasks, as instructed by the clinical staff
- Reception duties, including answering phones, greeting visitors or clients, sorting and distributing incoming post, and dealing with outgoing post and special deliveries if required
- Minute taking for team meetings, as and when required
- Assistance with Support Worker Payroll: checking and processing timesheets, inputting data to payroll spreadsheets, maintenance of payroll and holiday pay records, dealing with queries from Support Workers or Case Managers, and liaising with the accountants
- Monitoring of Support Worker annual leave and sick leave
- Client administration: including maintaining client records, preparing disclosures, archiving and retrieval of files, collating statistics, scheduling client reviews and supporting with case management enquiries and referrals Other duties and tasks, as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- GCSEs, or equivalent, in English and Maths (grades A-C /9-4)
- Good written and verbal communication skills, grammar, spelling, style, etc.
- Good numeracy skills, accuracy, and an eye for detail
- Proficient in IT with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong time management skills and multitasking ability
- Reliable and professional - you value honesty and discretion
Desirable:
- 2+ years' experience in an administrative role
- Previous experience in the Legal or Medico-Legal industry
- Experience of working with confidential client documentation
- Strong record-keeping skills
- Minute taking experience
