Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team at Nashley House. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering a varied and stimulating program of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a wide range of engaging activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs.
- Encourage participation from all residents, including those with dementia or limited mobility.
- Organize events such as arts and crafts, games, music sessions, exercise classes, outings, and themed celebrations.
- Work collaboratively with care staff, families, and external entertainers or volunteers.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and preferences.
- Regularly evaluate the success of activities and adapt the program based on feedback.
- Support residents’ personal goals and promote independence, confidence, and social inclusion.
- Promote a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment in line with the care home's values.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a care home or health and social care setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creative, energetic, and empathetic approach to engaging with elderly individuals.
- Understanding of the needs of older people, including those living with dementia.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and activity planning.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care, Activity Provision) is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
