Job Title: Acting for Screen Tutor (Fridays)
About Us:
Amber Lights Performing Arts is a vibrant and nurturing performing arts school with a strong foundation in musical theatre. As we prepare to open our brand-new studio premises this September, we are excited to expand our offering with a brand-new Acting for Screen class — and we’re looking for an inspiring and experienced tutor to join us on this exciting journey.
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Acting for Screen Tutor to lead two weekly classes on Fridays:
- Ages 8–12 (Inters)
- Ages 13–18 (Seniors)
These classes aim to build confidence and on-camera technique, while offering students the chance to explore this area of performance in a fun and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate screen acting lessons
- Teach key elements such as camera technique, script work, character development, and performance confidence
- Provide constructive feedback and encourage each student’s individual growth
- Work collaboratively with our teaching team to uphold the school’s ethos and values
- Potential involvement in filmed projects or student showcases
Requirements:
- Proven teaching experience in acting or acting for screen
- Relevant qualifications in drama, performing arts, or screen acting
- A positive, enthusiastic, and approachable teaching style
- Ability to inspire and engage children and teenagers of varying abilities
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate — desirable but can be arranged for the right candidate
