Porthaven care homes are recruiting an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join their welcoming team.
This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of our receivables, maintaining customer relationships, and contributing to robust financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, a process improvement mindset, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Key Duties:
- Process and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain up-to-date records of customer accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts, allocate incoming payments, and ensure corrective actions are taken monthly.
- Support the preparation of aged debt reports following reviews by Homes and Regional Administrators.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts in collaboration with internal teams.
- Record all customer interactions and internal workflows accurately in the relevant systems.
- Assist with month-end close procedures, reconciliations, and bad debt calculations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including systems and process enhancements, as directed by senior management.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports relating to revenue, debtors, cash flow, and deferred income.
- Fulfil other ad-hoc duties as required by Senior Management in line with the scope of the role.
About you:
You will bring proven experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar finance role, with a demonstrated track record of reducing aged debt and managing overdue accounts in line with monthly reporting deadlines.
Key Skills and experience:
- AAT Level 3 qualification or similar.
- Proven strong knowledge of ERP systems.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service and timely resolution of issue.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £33,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
