Role Overview
You’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial records, helping maintain smooth running of accounts payable and general bookkeeping.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in finance looking to broaden their experience in a hands-on role.
The successful candidate will be located at our Head Office in Kings Ripton, reporting into the Finance & Office Manager. The preferred start date for this role is October 2025.
This a part-time only role, working 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
The salary range for this position is £24,000 to £26,000 (FTE). The successful candidate will be awarded a salary commensurate with their experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements
- Bank reconciliations and posting payments
- Managing employee expenses
- Supporting month-end processes (journals, accruals, prepayments)
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assisting with VAT returns and other HMRC submissions
- Liaising with suppliers and internal teams
- Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc duties and reporting tasks
You may be expected to carry out other duties commensurate with the post as directed by the Finance & Office Manager.
Person Specification
- AAT qualification (or similar) - Desirable
Successful experience of:
- One to two years working in a finance or accounts role - Essential
Knowledge and skills
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles - Essential
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Essential
- Familiarity with payroll processes - Desirable
- Experience in a small business or SME environment - Desirable
