Accounts Assistant
As an Accounts Assistant you should be self-motivated, be able to manage own workload as well as being able to work under pressure. Be efficient and have the communication skills to deal with various professional organisations.
Must have some accounts experience, A full working knowledge of Sage 50 an eye for detail and a willingness to learn. A full understanding of day to day bookkeeping is essential. Dealing directly with commercial tenants, utility companies and district councils will be essential.
As an Accounts Assistant, your daily duties will include:
· Raising Sales Invoices
· Processing Purchase Invoices
· Recharge Service Charge
· Bank/Cashbook Reconciliations
· Credit Control
· Posting Weekly Sales
· Company Cash Reconciliations
· Petty-Cash Rec
· Reconcile Monthly Deposits
· Balance Sheet Rec
This role would suit someone ready to take the next step into learning a more varied role.
Profile
· Have been in an accountancy practice and used to working with incomplete records
· Must understand the basis of accountancy to TB level
· Must understand the concept of debit and credit processing
· Have good organisational skills and ability to prioritise their own workload
· Work to deadlines and pay attention to detail
· Be able to communicate professionally with people at all levels
· Have good MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills
· Be a strong team player, and good communication skills are essential.
Previous experience in a similar role dealing with the duties in the job description above
