Main purpose of job The Accommodation Coordinator books our students’ homestay liaising with students, tour leaders and homestay providers
Job start date: August / September 2025
Duties
- Sourcing/recruiting host families (advertising, planning ways to ensure that the school has enough suitable host families, sending out application forms, processing completed application forms).
- Visiting host families to conduct accommodation inspections & recording this information.
- Matching clients who are looking for accommodation and their preferences with available accommodation & providing alternatives when needed
- Booking accommodation for students and processing confirmations
- Ensuring that homestay providers are informed of any changes to bookings
- Liaising with students on accommodation matters
- Maintaining, and updating the accommodation database.
- Attendance at meetings to give updates with the accommodation department.
- Welcoming groups and making arrangements for the host families to meet them.
- Ensure that you are adhering to the requirements of The Children Act (1987) & the British Council Accreditation Scheme.
- Following the school's policies of child protection, bullying, behaviour management
- Dealing with all queries, concerns, requests, and complaints related to accommodation from host families.
- Any other duties that may from time to time be reasonably assigned by management
- Please note that as part of the appointment process: Enhance Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required References will be followed up

- Reference requests will ask specifically whether there is any reason that you should not be employed in situations where you have responsibility for, or substantial access to, persons under
- Working Hours Monday-Friday 08.30 - 17.00 (08:15 - 17:15 Summer) / 08:30 - 14:30 Fridays November - January
- Possess the flexibility to meet groups of students and introduce them to their host families. This is typically during spring and summer. One Sunday in High Season will be allocated as a working day, TOiL will be given in return.

Experience
- No experience required in accommodation, on the job training will be given.
Holidays
Pro-rata 20 days paid per annum pro including 8 national holidays (TOTAL 28) Staff may be required to work some bank holidays.
- On appointment 20 days + 8 national holidays
Sick Leave Statutory Sick pay applies
