Job Title: Deckhand / AB – Floating Crane Barge (Holyhead)

Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deckhand / AB to join our crane barge team based in Holyhead. The vessel supports decommissioning, salvage, and survey projects in one of the UK’s most scenic, remote regions.
You will report to the Deck Foreman / Mate and play a key role in safe and efficient deck operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain deck machinery, including winches and cranes.
- Ensure safety equipment is properly maintained and stowed.
- Perform maintenance tasks: painting, chipping, and cleaning of decks and compartments.
- Assist with mooring/unmooring and proper stowage of lines and mooring gear.
- Participate in drills and emergency response training.
- Assist in deploying and recovering ROVs and survey equipment (advantageous).
- Maintain a clean and organized working and living environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Deckhand/AB on workboats.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Physically fit; able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Team player with clear communication skills.
- Valid STCW endorsements, including:
- Basic Safety Training
- Medical First Aid
- ENG1 medical certificate
- Additional certifications (advantageous):
- EDH, Powerboat Level 2, Slinger/Signaller, Knuckle Boom Crane Operator
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Right to work in the UK
- Positive attitude and ability to perform under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £155.00-£170.00 per day
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
