Outstanding opportunity for Youth Mission Worker at Horbury Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of spiritual youth programmes and outreach with the local community to fulfil the aims of the Mission Development Plan.
Develop effective working partnerships with internal mission development teams to ensure spiritual programmes are designed and implemented in alignment with organisational and best practice principles- Lead on establishing links to the community, schools, colleges and any relevant external agencies to maximise the effective delivery of programmes to the community
- Develop and lead worship in the spiritual youth programme and where appropriate provide chaplaincy, mentoring and pastoral care visits to support young people
- Demonstrate both a professional and caring manner when interacting with programme participants to create a welcoming and supportive environment
- A strong level of English - both spoken and written - and numeracy required to enable you to fulfil all duties of the role
- The ability and willingness to lead and/or participate in worship, provide pastoral care and bring young people in the local community into a living faith with Jesus
- Proven good experience of using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), Outlook and Teams to perform your work duties
- Demonstrable ability to use your initiative, plan, organise and prioritise your tasks to effectively meet your objectives
- An awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements such as health and safety, data protection, safeguarding, equality and diversity
