Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced hands-on workshop foreman to oversee and manage our team based in our on-site workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The Workshop Foreman will play a crucial role in supervising daily operations, coordinating tasks, and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Supervise and manage a team of workers, ensuring all tasks are carried out effectively and safely.
- Coordinate daily activities and allocate resources to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor work progress and guide team members as needed.
- Booking in/out of work orders, ensuring all invoices are passed to the accounts department.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct regular inspections of work to maintain quality control.
- Facilitate communication between management and team members to ensure clarity of objectives.
- Assist in training new employees and promoting best practices within the team.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, experience with an ERP system would be an advantage; full training will be given.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Pay: £28,321.73-£42,000.00 per year
