About us:

Situated in the residential area of Davenport, Stockport, Davenport Manor is a long established residential home with a reputation for quality care and comfort.

The home is located in its own secluded grounds with ample parking facilities. Local shops, Davenport railway station, bus routes and a park are all within easy walking distance.

We provide residential accommodation for the elderly who may require varying levels of support and care ranging from basic support for daily activities to those with dementia. Provision is made for long or short term care. The home provides a perfect setting where one may recover from recent illness or an operation.

Our philosophy of care is to provide the highest quality of care to meet the needs of the individual through our well trained staff and facilities. From the initial assessment to ongoing reviews our continued evaluation ensures the best possible care.

Our staff team is inclusive and welcoming.

The kitchen prepares homely cooked meals daily for up to 32 residents and 5 to 6 staff. The meals prepared are of a high quality, with special diets and residents' ''likes and dislikes'' accommodated. Our kitchen is consistently awarded a 5 star food hygiene rating.

We are seeking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant, to work weekends, who shares our outlook and who wishes to further develop their own skills, to join our staff team. A thorough induction and ongoing support/guidance will be given by the Head Cook and the Kitchen Assistant.

The position requires working Saturdays and Sundays from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. The selected candidate would also be required, if possible, to provide holiday/sickness cover over weekdays, when necessary.

Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
