Pastelle Kitchen & Events is a cool pop-up restaurant and events business based in York. While predominantly hosting events in our intimate space off Leeman Road there will be some events off-site which will need to be attended such as weddings, corporate events and birthdays.
The successful candidate MUST have a passion for food and/or drink and be eager to work in the hospitality sector with a positive and gregarious personality. They will supervise the on and off-site events. Building professional and friendly relationships with our clients and customers and ensuring that events run smoothly.
You will ideally have experience in the hospitality industry with excellent communication skills and an ability to work under deadlines.
The candidate will report directly to and work alongside the owner and events manager of this small and quirky business. They will have creative input and new ideas will be welcome. We want to create a fun and safe environment that delivers special and memorable days to our clients and customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing restaurant reservations
- Opening and setting up the restaurant ready for our popular supper clubs and private events
- Greeting customers in a professional and friendly way
- Running all FOH operations for supper clubs & private events
- Keeping on top of bar stock and ordering
- Closing the restaurant and locking up
- Effectively manage teams on-site, assigning tasks, supervising and working alongside them to deliver the event.
The successful candidate must have bar experience with a good knowledge of wine and cocktails.
Must have a flexible approach to working hours as evening and weekend work is involved.
Must have a full driving license and be over 18yrs old.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and suitability
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
