Join us as a Wealth Planner and become a key member of a group delivering bespoke financial planning solutions to high-net-worth clients across the UK. Working closely with Private Bankers and Wealth Managers, you will provide bespoke financial advice on Pensions, Off-Shore Bonds, Protection and Tax Efficient investments helping clients achieve their wealth structuring needs. At Barclays, you’ll also have access to a network of specialists who will support you in delivering advice.

In this role, you’ll help foster long-term client relationships and offer highly technical, regulated advice to meet clients' financial goals, therefore playing a key part in our ambition to be the investment partner of choice for our clients, their families and the next generation. As all advice must comply with UK standards, you will also navigate the complexities of the UK regulatory framework.

To be successful as a Wealth Planner, you should have:

  • RDR Level 4 Financial Planning qualification (and be prepared to work towards RDR Level 6).
  • Previous financial planning experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate multi-layered regulatory requirements effectively, with the ability to relate and accommodate a diverse range of personalities.
  • Sound commercial judgement and overall understanding of Financial Services Industry, particularly the business impact of the regulatory environment

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Level 6 qualification.

  • Experience working for a large organisation.

This role is based in London.

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

Purpose of the role

To develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service.

Accountabilities

  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
  • Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage. .
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as brochures, presentations, and online content.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest.

  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.

  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
