Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team during peak season (September to January). The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring smooth operations related to materials handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. This role requires a strong work ethic and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Operate pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper techniques for lifting and moving heavy items.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
- Engage in picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure standards are met.
- Perform stocking duties, replenishing shelves as necessary to maintain inventory levels.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and efficiency in all warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills, good memory and attention to detail essential.
- The ability to operate within a fast paced, deadline driven environment along with good logical thinking and ability to ask questions will help you to succeed.
- Previous warehouse experience will be helpful but is not essential; full training will be provided in all aspects of the role.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: £10.00-£12.25 per hour
Expected hours: 17.5 – 40 per week
