Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Overseeing and inspiring warehouse personnel, delegating tasks, and offering direction.
- Performing performance evaluations and pinpointing areas needing enhancement.
- Instructing new hires on warehouse protocols, safety measures, and equipment handling.
- Organizing employee schedules and managing time-off requests.
Operations Management:
- Supervising daily warehouse activities, which encompass receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Guaranteeing precision in inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping operations.
- Enhancing warehouse layout and space usage for optimal workflow.
- Observing and upkeeping warehouse machinery, ensuring safety and proper operation.
Health & Safety:
- Enforcing adherence to health and safety standards and company regulations.
- Conducting routine safety inspections and ensuring correct equipment usage.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, along with applicable industry standards.
Inventory Management:
- Keeping precise inventory documentation, which includes monitoring stock levels, performing cycle counts, and addressing discrepancies along with strong KPI reviews.

Collaborating with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure smooth operations. Must be a strong communicator at all levels including when speaking directly with customers.

This position reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager, and you will be required to exhibit leadership across all facets, aiming to inspire and develop a team of warehouse operators. Individual and collective performance is crucial in enhancing customer experience and, most importantly, achieving service excellence.
A minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse and transportation environment is essential, along with expertise in warehousing, health and safety regulations, human resources matters, team development, and a strong focus on KPI-driven performance for success.
