Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling of goods. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail, as you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, managing stock, and maintaining an organised warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers efficiently.
- Build and assemble pallets for shipping or storage as required.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately, ensuring that all items are correctly selected and prepared for dispatch.
- Engage in heavy lifting and movement of materials throughout the warehouse while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage during storage and transit.
- Driving of forklift.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Proven ability in materials handling, including experience with heavy lifting tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for managing stock efficiently.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment is highly valued.
- Forklift license (Desirable)
