Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a dynamic dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, managing orders efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly while ensuring their comfort throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Manage cash handling and basic math tasks during transactions effectively.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring a tidy environment.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster positive guest relations.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant protocols and service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining or nightclub experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, OpenTable, or similar systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial for understanding menu items and preparation methods.
