Job Title: Viewings Clerk
Location: Northampton
Working Hours: Ideally 5 hours per day, afternoons to early evenings
Pay: £13 per hour for viewings, plus £10 per let commission
About the Role
We are seeking a professional and reliable Viewings Clerk to support our busy lettings team in Northampton. This role involves conducting property viewings, offering excellent customer service to prospective tenants, and assisting the office team when required.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in the property industry, looking for part-time work with flexibility during afternoons and early evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled viewings punctually and represent the company professionally
- Conduct property viewings, answering questions and providing essential information to applicants
- Provide accurate feedback to negotiators after each viewing
- Explain legal and tenancy obligations to prospective tenants
- Clearly outline the referencing and ID verification process
- Advise on service of managing utility provider changes
- Offer broadband and media service options, highlighting benefits to applicants
- Recommend contents insurance and explain why it’s important
- Gather applicant information and proactively suggest alternative properties where relevant
- Assist with office tasks when not attending viewings
Personal Attributes and Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Smart, professional appearance and business attire
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Confident, polite, and professional approach
- Ability to follow company procedures for safety (both personal and property-related)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- A genuine interest in the property industry
- Self-motivated and able to work well as part of a team
