Job Title: Transport Tracker

Location: Dover

Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Transport Tracker to join our client’s logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for monitoring and tracking all vehicle movements, ensuring that collections and deliveries are completed on time and in line with the transport plan. You will act as the key link between drivers, depots, farms, and suppliers, communicating delays and helping to keep the operation running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track all fleet and subcontractor vehicles to ensure collections and deliveries meet planned schedules and customer expectations.
  • Communicate with suppliers, RDCs, farms, and depots to minimise vehicle waiting times and resolve hold-ups.
  • Monitor PM collections, reporting delays to farms/suppliers as needed.
  • Complete and maintain KPI tracking sheets for Aldi and UK Salads, accurately reporting late loads and reasons for delays.
  • Provide regular updates to the Day Runner and/or Operations Supervisor regarding any issues or changes.
  • Conduct thorough handovers at the end of each shift, particularly around late-running loads or tightly scheduled routes.
  • Assist the Day Runner with driver texting and communication, in line with company procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with transport operations or vehicle tracking is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced transport environment. If you’re proactive, reliable, and ready to support a critical part of the logistics operation, we’d love to hear from you.
