Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Transport Supervisor to join us, working day time hours at our site in Daventry.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
- Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business
- Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
- Responsible for the daytime transport operation:
- Ensure that vehicles are planned properly
- Dispatch & debrief drivers as per company policy
- Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed correctly
- Ensure depot compliance is up to date on Tacho management system, and all infringements are signed off in a timely manner.
- Investigate and rectify any missing mileage
- Manage breakdowns and defects in a timely manner
- Send appropriate and accurate handover
- Fleet Compliance, including MOTs etc
- Health and Safety management
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- A good understating of fast-paced transport teams
- Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
