JOB Purpose:
To deliver high-quality, inclusive Math’s and English teaching to learners aged 16+, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The role involves supporting a diverse cohort—apprentices, school leavers, adult learners, and those retraining from other sectors—across a range of levels from Entry Level to GCSE. You will contribute to learners’ academic progress, personal development, and successful destinations, ensuring provision is accessible and tailored to individual needs. To lead the design and delivery of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Curriculum to learners within Salt College.
Specific Duties:
· Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Math’s and English lessons at Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2, and GCSE, adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning needs, including EHCP learners.
· Provide tailored support and differentiation for learners with EHCPs, ensuring all reasonable adjustments are made and that teaching is accessible, inclusive, and outcome-focused.
· Plan and coordinate the Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) programme for Salt College, creating schemes of work and resources for Learning Support Assistants to deliver, and supporting them through training and guidance.
· Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials that reflect best practice, awarding body requirements, and the needs of a diverse learner group.
· Track and report learner progress, attendance, engagement, and destinations, maintaining accurate records and providing constructive feedback.
· Guide and assess learners in both classroom-based and workshop-based activities, supporting achievement of qualifications and progression pathways.
· Promote and enforce high standards of health and safety in all learning environments.
· Support learners’ career plans by delivering information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG), enabling them to achieve positive destinations.
· Participate in curriculum reviews, standardisation meetings, and CPD to ensure continuous improvement and currency of provision.
· Contribute to internal quality assurance and external verification as required.
· Help learners develop employability and work-readiness skills relevant to the construction and wider industries.

11. To complete any assigned role deemed appropriate by Salt Training Limited.
