Job Overview
At Consciously Grown, we believe that beautiful gardens should work in harmony with nature. We are looking for a Trainee Organic Gardener who shares our passion for sustainable gardening, biodiversity, and thoughtful landscape care. This is an exciting opportunity to join a values-driven team that puts environmental responsibility, attention to detail, and continuous learning at the heart of everything we do. We value customer service and building strong relationships highly and are keen to hire an individual who has a similar passion and interest.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated, reliable, and eager to learn organic horticultural practices. You will help care for a variety of gardens—ranging from private homes to community spaces—ensuring they are vibrant, healthy, and nurtured using environmentally conscious methods.

- Plant and care for trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal displays in alignment with regenerative and ecological principles
- Apply natural soil health practices, including mulching, composting, and companion planting
- Use both hand tools and power tools (safely and responsibly) to maintain and develop garden spaces
- Water and irrigate plants with care and awareness of environmental sustainability
- Monitor plant health and report any signs of stress, pests, or diseases — supporting organic, non-chemical treatment methods
- Assist with garden design and installation projects that prioritise biodiversity, pollinators, and low-impact planting schemes
- Contribute to a clean, organised, and respectful work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are cared for and stored properly
- Engage in learning about organic gardening, permaculture, and climate-resilient landscaping as part of your professional development
