We seek a highly motivated TMS Specialist to join our fantastic team in Grange Park, Northampton (NN4 5FB).
The position holder will provide second-line support for Yusen's Transport Management System (TMS), Carlo, and other transport systems across Europe. Responsibilities include handling requests and incidents, supporting new implementations, problem-solving, training, and migration from legacy systems.
You will be expected to work Monday to Friday between 0800 and 1700.
The salary is from £40,000.00 per annum (DOE).

Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical support to internal customers and serve as the Subject Matter Expert in IT.
- Manage incident and problem resolution, ensuring adherence to controls, tools, and SLAs.
- Assist Operations support with TMS requests and train staff on relevant procedures.
- Evaluate customer needs and present proposed solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional TMS designs while following regional guidelines.
- Collaborate with TMS vendors and development teams for enhancements.
- Generate reports from TMS data using SQL, Crystal Reports, or Power BI.
- Build EDI interfaces to integrate TMS systems with partners and customers.
- Recommend TMS improvements and evaluate new versions for upgrades.
- Configure transport systems to meet specifications and test functionality.
- Support users during UAT and provide project controls using PM tools.
- Manage project deliverables and provide training materials for new solutions.
Key Skills:
- Essential: Experience in a 3PL/4PL environment or with Transport Management Systems (TMS) in IT.
- Skilled in creating scope and functional specification documents.
- Experienced in managing small projects with a solid understanding of project management principles.
- Commercially aware with the ability to contribute to cost-benefit analyses.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport at all levels.
- Quick learner of new systems.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in TMS configuration, testing, and documentation.
- Capable of troubleshooting technical issues and providing user support.
- Experience with databases (Oracle SQL), including DML SQL and PL/SQL or T-SQL.
- Strong data analysis skills to identify trends.
- Effective problem-solving focusing on root causes.
- Strong communication skills for customer service and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of transport, logistics, and freight forwarding processes.
