Role Details
As Customer & Ticketing Service Assistant, you will be the face of Edinburgh’s popular tram network while providing ticketing information to residents and visitors of our vibrant city. You will also get to support some unique events such as Scottish Rugby, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the Royal Highland Show.

Your duties will include:
- Checking tickets onboard the tram and around our network.
- Responding to any customer queries by identifying their needs and providing additional assistance when required.
- Providing customer service, revenue protection and crowd control at major events in the city.
- Understanding products and services and ensuring our customers are offered the best ticket deals available.
- Assisting tram drivers in delivering emergency response procedures which involves communicating with our Operation Control Room.

As keeping our colleagues and customers safe is our number one priority, we have robust procedures in place which are vital for every member of the team to follow. You will be provided full training on how to apply the highest standards of safety in your role.
Experience in Customer Service is highly desirable. However, we want to hear from candidates whose enthusiasm, sense of humour, and willingness to help are exceptional. You do have to be over 18 to apply.
This vacancy of Customer & Ticketing Service Assistants has 33 days annual leave and work 16 hours per week on a Monday to Friday basis.
The hours will alternate between two weeks:
Week one: Starts at 05:26am and finishes at 08:02am
Week two: Starts at 06:22am and finishes at 09:24am
About you
Minimum requirements for this role are:
- Extremely organised with a dedication to providing excellent customer service
- A multitasker, able to work at pace while dealing with any queries.
- Dependable and responsible when following procedure.
