Key Responsibilities
As a Team leader Residential Support Worker at Aspire Children Services, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the best outcomes for the children and young people in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Mentoring and Coaching: Support and coach new team members, drawing upon your experience to manage any challenges that arise.

- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and establish strong relationships, boundaries, and routines to create a warm and nurturing home environment.

- Championing Needs: Promote the needs of each child and young person, champion them, and support them to fulfil their potential.

- Engagement: Get involved in activities such as cooking, sports, outdoor adventures, music, or even getting a manicure to engage the children and open them up to new experiences.

- Therapeutic Support: Receive training to deliver our therapeutic model, ensuring the best possible care and support for our children.

Requirements
The successful candidates will have:
- A good understanding of the Children’s Home Regulations and Quality standards.
- Some knowledge around the needs of children and young people with EBD/autism/CSE/CRE/county lines, and the support services required to ensure their needs are fully met.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to lead on shift.
- Good character and integrity with resilience that matches the demands of this challenging role.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis including sleep-ins.
- At least 2 years experience in the Residential Children's Services sector or a similar setting working with children with challenging behaviour.
- At least 1 year of experience leading shifts in a children’s residential setting.

Salary: £27,000 to £34,000 (dependent on experience), sleep-in pay rate £60
