M&M Supply are supporting a vibrant and friendly primary school in Newport, seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children across various year groups, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist class teachers in the delivery of lessons and activities, providing support to individuals and small groups of children.
- Help students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to access the curriculum.
- Support children in their social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and building confidence.
- Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with other staff, including teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Encourage students to be independent learners and take pride in their work.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting (desirable).
- A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (preferable not essential).
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- A good understanding of child development and the importance of safeguarding.
