Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating swimmers of all ages and skill levels. This role involves developing training programmes, enhancing swimming techniques, and fostering a positive and encouraging environment for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective training programmes tailored to individual swimmer needs.
- Educate swimmers on proper techniques, safety protocols, and competitive strategies.
- Conduct regular training sessions, ensuring they are engaging and productive.
- Monitor swimmers' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Organise swim meets, competitions, and other events to promote team spirit and camaraderie.
- Maintain a safe and clean training environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other coaches to support the development of each swimmer.
- Has a potential to organise Galas/Swimming competitions
- Work closely with committee to support parents and swimmers
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in swimming.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, rules, and competitive strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate swimmers effectively.
- Ability to work well with individuals of varying ages and skill levels.
- Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications are preferred but not essential.
- A passion for swimming and a commitment to fostering a love for the sport in others.
