Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimmimg. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages in swimming techniques, safety practices, and water confidence. Your role will be vital in promoting a love for swimming while ensuring that all participants feel safe and supported in the water.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs and abilities of each participant.
- Educate students on water safety, swimming techniques, and personal responsibility in aquatic environments.
- Monitor and assess the progress of each swimmer, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment within the pool area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress, concerns, and achievements.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in swim instruction.
- To be able to open and close the pool on your own.
- Keeping poolside clean & safe.
Experience
- Previous experience in teaching groups or 1-2-1 lessons
- A strong understanding of swimming techniques and safety protocols is essential.
- Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is an advantage but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
- A patient and encouraging approach to teaching, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Experience with SEN children would be an advantage.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
