Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Are you an experienced Care Assistant or Support Worker?
We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker for a Maternity Cover full time contract until end April 2026 to join the team who support 6 gentleman who share a large bungalow in a quiet estate in the Drumoyne/Govan area of Glasgow.
This role is for 25 hours per week.
Experience of working in the social care or healthcare sector is preferred in this role, as the people we support have a variety of healthcare and mobility needs.
The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities and physical disabilities but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! They enjoy lots of activities, including going out for walks, catching up with friends, listening to music, aromatherapy and keeping in touch with their families. They have a large shared garden which they love to use in the summer for events. However, they’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.

Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. Physically the role can be demanding. There is also the expectation of being able to administer medication, however full training will be provided. This is a medically complex service so you will need to be able to communicate with health professionals.

Our team provide support 24 hours a day, so we are looking for some flexibility to work a variety of day shifts (including some weekends) and occasional waking nights.
Shifts are usually 14 hour and 9 hour shifts , over 7 days on a rota basis
