The Support Worker will provide high-quality support to children in the community, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
The role involves assisting children with daily activities, promoting social inclusion, and encouraging independence while working closely with families, schools, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to children with varying needs, including those with disabilities, mental health conditions, and behavioral challenges.
- Assist with daily activities such as personal care, mobility support, and educational engagement.
- Facilitate and encourage participation in social, recreational, and community-based activities.
- Work in partnership with families, schools, and health professionals to ensure the child’s well-being.
- Promote independence and confidence-building through structured support.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to children and their families.
- Safeguard children by following policies and procedures in line with legal and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities and report any concerns regarding health, safety, or well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a care or community setting (preferred but not essential).
- Relevant qualification in childcare, social work, or health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3).
- Understanding of child development and best practices in child support.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A valid driving license may be required depending on the role.
